I found this half dollar in an old amusement park site I have been hunting since 1990. Using my Garrett ATPRO I was able to recover the only Barber Half I have ever found.I had it professionally cleaned to show its full beauty and then slabbed and graded by SEGS. The coin was featured as one of the best finds of 2012 in the April 2013 issue of Western and Eastern Magazine and my story was published in the Silver and Gold 2013 issue. It took Find of the Year trophies at the 3 metal detecting clubs I am a member of.It has been appraised at $3500.00+ but I will never sell it.Heck it only took 22 years to find it!

Too many to count, just this year 2 mercs and 2 barber dimes 4 or 5 Indian heads some V and bufffalo nickels and wheat pennys of course although they are getting real hard to find now. I have been using a Blisstool there since August. Finally got the dimes Sept and on into Nov. The ATPRO I used finding the half dollar seemed to leave the dimes, but the Bliss has a 15" coil maybe I was not putting the ATPRO coil over the dimes. The Bliss is a complicated machine and really likes iron, lot of nails and junk in that place. The Bliss goes deep but the coins i'm finding so far are in the 4~8" range. I need to get better with the Bliss and it's discrimination. Can't wait for spring! My oldest coin found at that site ,,1818 LC a friend found an 1836o half dime there another found an 1830 LC.It's never hunted out as they say!

What a beautiful coin. You have found a really great place to hunt, one we all wish to find one of these days.
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
