Not a bad encore to the first Virgin Fairground!

One of my ALL-TIME favorite detecting videos. Glad to see it's still up. I have about a 60-acre fairground site near me that was in use from about 1880 to 1905. You can still see part of the 1/2 mile clay track on Google Earth. I've hunted it a few times but all I have to show for it is a 1944 Wheatie and a CW New York coat button. Right now it's a scrub meadow and the rotted vegetation layer is about 6 - 8" before you hit good dirt so right off the bat there's a lot of depth sacrificed. It's really only good to hunt in the short period after the thaw before it becomes grown-out. It's hard to hunt but I keep at it now & again because I just KNOW that there's some good stuff in there somewhere!
