FWIW
I reload and shoot Black Powder 45-70 cartridges. Because black powder fouling is corrosive, it takes a real corrosive toll on brass cartridge cases especially if not cleaned promptly after firing.

Enter ceramic tumbling media which is the absolute best tumbling media i've found so far. Brass cases come out polished and shiny looking like new. Never tried it on coins however, should work just as good.

I use the ceramic tumbling media as well! Mine are triangular shaped and about the size of a pea.
