wanted to try and get back to the field once more before they plant it, so I took a day off work. The day started off hot with the 1877 CC dime in the 1st ten minutes of being there. Hit the second dime about an hour later and it was a deep faint signal that if not for the FE/CO numbersm I would have passed. Nothing solid, but enough to make me dig since the ground is so soft. The depth showed 11 inches and after removing the dirt, it was. The deepest bime I have ever found. Then managed 4 indians, a shield nickel, 2 V nickels, and a couple bullets. still working on dates for those.

Great finds Shawn! That 77 CC is in fantastic shape. Were those in the same spot we found the others?

Yes they did. The 77 came right on the property line and 1 of the injuns and nickels was also real close. I stepped over into the beans, but did not hit anything there. I only worked it for a few minutes. The rest were were in the the mddle of that small area. with the exception of the 77, which was sceamed silver, the rest were all over the place and iffy signals. I was hitting injuns that were 21-29 conductive. Just had a decent sound. The nickel signals were all over like trash, but if they would hit close I dug it. I did dig a bunch of junk though. They will be planting soon. I did try and find out what was going in this summer, but the land owner was not home and his wife did not know. She did tell me I was welcome back this fall though. After they get the crops out. :)

Fantastic hunting. Great seated dimes! Maybe there is a 20 cent piece hiding around there!
