Went back to the field that has been giving up the seateds. with all the rain, I was not sure, but it was managable. The 1st hit turned out to be an indian. a bout an hour of searching I get a good solid high tone. took out a big plug and saw silver, however I was suprised when it turned out to be a 1905 Barber dime. Not complaining, just not expecting it as everthing has been seateds and a bust. Then about 3 feet and another hit and it is a 2 cent piece. Then about half hour later I get another high screamer. It is a 1877 CC. That is the second 1877 CC I have pulled out of here. The about ten minutes later 1876 seated. Also ended the day with a couple more indians and a another shield nickel. There is a lot to be said about going slow. I have a hard time slowing down with the Etrac, but when I do, the field is very giving.

Unreal, Indians on the surface!
Only thing i can think of is gravel, pavement or a recently graded area.

The only surface oldy i found was a worn 1900 Barber dime at a river shore, maybe a half inch deep if that much.

You got one hell of a site there! B)

I have puled 9 seateds, a bust and a Barber out. I can't get a group photo because Keith has 6 or 7 himself. Still have a lot of area to cover. Hoping we can pull a few more out.

It very well could be Keith. I have popped out sevaral from the 1860's. Too bad the ground is so hard on them. I do like digging injuns. Seems they have as good of value or better than a lot of the silver.
