Stopped at the local McyDees to get a burger and a shake today. Grabbed a handful of coins and one dime looked different than the others. Wasn't as shiny. Looked at its edge, no sign of copper.
Then looked at the date, it was a 1950 Rosie.

While detecting at a city park last year, ran into and started BSing with the guy who loads the pop machines. He told me he finds a lot of silver Quarters and Dimes in the coin bins.

Nice pick ironsight! Tough times like these bring out a lot of silver.

A few years back I eyeballed a 1964 Rosie on top of the ground at a small park in Illinois. I always wondered if another coin hunter dropped it on accident or maybe there was a flea market set up there a few days before and someone selling or buying silver coins lost it.

...My hunting buddy last fall found a V Nickel just lying on top of the ground in back of this old church....we just guessed that it was uncovered due to erosion...the backyard of this church has a steep incline.....we was really far out into the country and due to the other old finds do not believe that this find was a recent drop??!!.....Joe
