I finally found an old picnic ground site I heard about 40 years ago over in Illinois and got permission to hunt it last week.

It is out in the middle of nowhere and has been pounded for 40 years at least and still gets hunted today by local hunters. Even after all of that hunting there are still good ones to be found there!

I hunted it after a rain and the freshly disced bean field was a muddy mess but I still managed to find this nice dime, three toasted Indians and three toasted wheaties in about an hour of detecting.

Jr and I will be going back here soon.
