Locator Larry has done it again. He located an OLD church camp site that was used from the mid 1800s to the early 1900s. Unfortunately it was not a virgin site. I can only imagine what came out of this place. We were only able to hunt it for a couple of hours but plan to go back after it gets a good soaking rain. I was able to find the oldest silver coin I have ever found! And the only Spanish Real I have ever found. It was only three inches deep or so. The quarter was probably 7 inches down and the Merc around 3 inches but it was sitting on a nail hiding from the old detectors. Got to be a LOT more there. Only found two pennies. One was a memorial and the other one a 1946 P wheat. Artifacts were a mid 1800s flat button and a silver plated soup spoon that was at least a foot down.
