I'll bet everything that dime purchased over the years would not fit on a semi trailer! If only it could talk.

What kind of a site did you find it at? Maybe an old school from around the turn of the century?

Thin but a major win. A seated in any condition is Great. What all did a used dime like that purchase over the years???

In Deadwood South Dakota in 1876 hay was two cents per pound. If that dime traded hands every other day for 40 years it would have purchased around $730 with of goods. At 2 cents a pound that is over 36,000 pounds of hay. Probably more than one semi can carry!

...It was found at an old Church site that dated back to the 1880's.....it was so worn that I figured that it was carried around for at least 50 years so that means that it was probably lost in the 1920's or so......

....in the same area as I found this seated liberty dime ...I found the burnt remains of an old camp fire that had 3 or 4 busted whiskey bottles near it....so I figured that the person who lost the silver dime was drunk....and the real kicker is that this was an old church grounds!!....

Olde, that Seated dime is interesting, the way one side is almost gone and the other side looks like it does. You said you found it in January, the only thing you would find in Omaha in January would be snow blowers or salt trucks.........thanks Olde
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
