..............This is a beautiful and majestic place...........this mountain park is on the border between Texas and New Mexico!!.............UNKNOWN TO SOME BUT THIS IS ALSO THE HOME OF THE LOST BEN SUBLETT MINE.............Lost since the 1890's.........there is proof that the mine existed plus proof of the gold! Old Ben was a bit of an eccentric and the Apache Indians called him Loco and Crazy!! Now this actually helped Ben since most of the White Prospectors were afraid to go into Indian territory! What is really interesting is that he showed at least 3 people the location of the mine but one died, the other 2 could not relocate it! One of the latter was his son, but only being 9 years old did not pay attention to the local and spent his entire adult lifetime searching for this gold mine!!............STILL A LONG WAYS FROM ME BUT IT WOULD BE WORTH THE TRIP JUST TO TAKE SOME PICTURES.................MAY GO THIS SUMMER..............JOE
