Use this information as a guide when you get ready to sell your gold items. A fair price would be around 85% if you want someone else to deal with the refiner. If you deal directly with a refiner you might expect to get close to 95%.
Adjust for gold prices being higher or lower by applying the percentage. For example if gold is $1,400 per ounce muliply the number in the chart by 1400/1200. If gold is $1,000 per ounce multiply the number in the chart by 1000/1200 and so forth.
Also make sure you know how much gold you have and what the karat is (10K, 14K, 18K etc). Dental gold is normally 22K.
