After both working the midnight shift NWI and I decided to try a field that research told us would be a good site. Bricks and nails showed we were right and the farmer had just knocked down all the corn stalks. After about an hour with no real luck I got a deep iffy signal. It was a high pitch but had a low bump at the end. After calling NWI over I dug the hole and in the dirt pile laid silver. MY FIRST BUST COIN a 1829 bust dime. It was about that time that the rain came, cant wait to return.

Truth be told I was still checking the hole with my pin pointer and NWI made to wow sound and showed me the coin...Im such a fool...lol

I was sure glad to be there with you to share the moment!! Thats the oldest coin I've seen come out of our area since I've been detecting 30+ years! What a great and exciting moment it was. Can't wait to get back out! Congrats Buddy!!

Very nice! I'm still looking for my 1st Bust. They just aren't around my neck of the woods so I have to go downstate to have a better chance at one. In my area (W Michigan) a Barber's considered a big deal, and once in awhile a Seated will pop up.
